First of three beers beers tried at Fixture on 10/29/13.
Very excited to try this, I have been hoping someone would eventually open a brewery in Waukesha with a taproom.
Pours a light black with a nice looking creamy tan head.
Smell is minimal, no roast, no coffee - not a great sign.
Taste is sub-par. No roast, no coffee, no chocolate - very strange, slight off taste. Yikes.
Mouthfeel - To begin with, this stout is extremely thin. On top of that, there is something wrong with all their beers, they produce a burning feeling in the throat.
Overall - Not good. Although I am not certain of the style, I added this as an Irish Dry Stout given the very thin body and it's resemblance to a bad pour of Guinness.
I will return to Fixture only because this was their first batch of brews. I'll give them a little time to get dialed in, but they really have a long way to go.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
