On tap at Southie (Oakland, CA), served in a shaker pint glass. Slightly hazy amber golden with a dense head of lush white foam and sparse lace. Aromas of pine forest, lemon and orange rind and multigrain crackers. Flavors follow with pine needles and resin, orange and lemon marmalade, subtle caramel and grains, closing with a nice bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation. An enjoyable, full flavored and balanced IPA that packs a punch and paired well with a tasty meal.

New brew from a new brewery in Oakland that runs along the 51. Riding AC Transit is enough to make one want to drink, if my days riding the 1R taught me anything. Anyways.
This pours an amber tan color with light foam. There’s a light hop aroma with some lemon and pine. The bitterness is dialed back, with a pleasing, smooth pine note along with some orange marmalade rounding out the hop profile. It hides its strength, although after a few of these I might be back on the bus home!
A solid brew.
