Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery - Silver City

Poured a nice, deep, cloudy, unfiltered ruby red with a slight light brown tint and one finger of fluffy off-white head. A very nice looking beer. Scents of citrusy hops with an orange-like character, a bit of toasty malt and caramel and a faint of alcohol and fruity esters. A nice aroma profile, subdued and balanced. Flavor begins fruity and lightly sweet with notes of orange flesh and zest, a light caramel and some bright, fruity flavors. This moves into a nice mix of caramel, citrus, orange flesh and fruity esters, including some apricot. Finish is medium-sweet, with notes of fruity esters, orange flesh, faint pine resin and alcohol and a bit of caramel. A nice, easy drinking, balanced flavor profile, quite nice. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied, smooth and semi-drying with a moderate, pleasing carbonation. A nice, easy to drink feel. Overall this is a nice amber ale. It's balanced, fruity, citrusy and bright, with a bit more hops than many examples of the style. It's quite easy to drink as a result and quite nice.
