This is the worst beer I've ever drinked in my life, it's like taking a bunch of paracetamol pills crushing them and combining them with sparkling water and some yellow food colorant then calling it a day, this shouldn't even be classified as a beer of how bad it is

Label is kind of boring and a little cheap looking...and to be honest I wouldn't have usually chosen it from a shelf. It contains corn in addition to barley. Never heard of this before ; )
Drinking at 1 centigrade in a pilsner glass...
Very impressive head level, foamy with a few big bubbles. Colour is fairly pale.
Aroma is foamy and quite subtle.
Quite refreshing, but not much happening in terms of flavour. Hops are very subtle, and kind of similar to German style. I will let it warm up a bit to see if it improves ; ) For some reason it tastes better drunk from the bottle.
It definitely tastes better warmed a bit above 1 centigrade ; )
Mouth feel fairly watery, with a fairly subtle, dry hoppy kick at the end.
A very light and refreshing pilsner. It tastes quite pure and natural. It's grown on me as I continue to drink it. It's very well balanced, not too sweet, and the corn adds a crispiness that improves the experience.
But overall, it's nothing special. A bit more hoppiness and it would be as good as Ciuc. It definitely needs more hops.

When learning the name of stars, when working outside, when you need a lot of beer for little money, with some heavy baked goat meat strudell, have this beer!
Don't let it stay in the cup for too long, the CO2 will all dissappear. Drink it like a Viking. All at once. And the pour another one. Have it with your uncle that doesn't know much about beers and thinks that this is the original beer.

"Neumarkt Original Pils." 5.2% ABV. 1 litre green plastic bottle with branded grey plastic screw-top acquired at a Shop and Go supermarket in Bucharest and served cold into an unbranded bierkrug there. Reviewed live. Expectations are low given the bottle format.
Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.
No bubble show forms as it's poured.
HEAD: Half a finger in width. Fizzles out within 10 seconds, leaving no lacing.
BODY: Clear pale yellow-copper. Clean; no yeast particulate or hop sediment is visible.
Appears adequately carbonated. Far from unique or special.
AROMA: Pils malts, helles malts, generic malt sweetness, and cheap generic barley.
It's a subpar aroma overall, and is average in terms of strength. Can't say I'm excited for the first sip.
TASTE: Pils malts, helles malts, generic malt sweetness, and cheap barley. It's as simple a flavour profile as you'll find, and the flavours are all quite shallow.
Average duration and intensity of flavour. Largely unbalanced. Not a gestalt build, but a cohesive one.
No yeast character, alcohol, or other off-notes come through.
TEXTURE: Strangely dry and coarse, especially on the finish. Stale. Poor overall presence on the palate. Overcarbonated. Poorly executed.
OVERALL: Drinkable but subpar. Very low quality and cheap tasting. I wouldn't trifle with this swill again. There're better budget beers in Romania. This is quite poor.

From PET bottle, the most popular format of this beer. Clear golden color with slightly off-white head. Aroma has some grains and corn sweetness in the background but it also has some spicy phenols, acetone and fruity esters. Really unpleasant and off for a lager. Taste is watery with light grain notes but also some of the weird stuff from the aroma. Slightly sweet in the middle with astringent fruit notes. More bitter and earthy on the finish. Light body with medium carbonation. This beer is quite bad. It feels watery and the minimal taste and aroma it has is off putting as well.
