Pours a very dark brown, almost black. Smells very toasty, with coffee and chocolate notes, and quite fragrant. Rich, toasty taste, with flavourful coffee and chocolate flavours; quite well-balanced and drinkable.

Since no one has gotten to review this beer, I'll give it a quick go.
Smell: Licorice at the forefront. Coffee, like a mug of coffee you finished but never got around to rinsing so the coffee ring dried up at the bottom (not in a bad way, of course). Your typical dark roasty malts in there.
Taste: Very English. You'll know what I mean if you've had a handful of English porters and stouts. Not much carbonation to speak of, pretty flat. Some licorice as in the smell. Coffee with a dab of creamer. A sweet nutiness and a dab of roast.
I'm not the best a describing beer by any means, so I hope that gives the gist of it. It's definitely a good beer. Not the best I've had but far from the worst. Even when they're not at they're best, I tend to like English Porters and Stouts more than any others and this definitely does well in the style. I could ask more of it in the end, but definitely pick one up if you see it around.
