A pale ale hopped in kettle, whirlpool and in tank with Motueka. Its natural haze is a result of being heavily hopped and brewed with large amounts of oats. This carefully crafted beer is unfiltered and unpasteurised.

From a 330ml bottle.
L: The label warns the large amount oats in the mash results in a natural haze. It is not wrong. This brew is completely opaque. 'Soupy' would be a better description than 'hazy'. The colour is yellow/brown. There is no head to speak of. I understand it may be deliberate but nonetheless this beer does look like pond water.
S: Fruity. Light citrus. About standard for an APA.
T: As the smell. Plus a little oaty tang. Nothing special really. Malt is absent. Hops are fruity but restrained. Bitterness is moderate.
F: Given the described high quantity of oats in the grain bill I was expecting a smoother and more creamy mouthfeel. There is a light coating for sure, but there's also a little sharpness and the body is on the light side. Disappointing.
O: Not sure I understand the purpose of this beer.
