A 330ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2017 (bottled Aug 2017). Purchased a while back from the Brewdog webshop. A pale ale hopped with Mandarina and Loral.
A: Poured into a tulip. Bottle conditioned. A hazy golden hue with good carbonation and fine suspended sediment. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of fruity hops with hints of sharp citrus zest, peel, mild tropical fruit, faint tart berries, grass/hay, subtle leafiness, earthy yeast and grainy malt. A tad subdued but pleasantly hoppy.
T: Tastes of light fruity hops with notes of zesty citrus, peel, tart berries, subtle tropical fruit, leafiness, mild grass/hay, earthy yeast, grainy malt and faint husks. Very dry, followed by an understated hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with lively carbonation and good body. Somewhat astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops, sharp berries, leafiness, earthy yeast and grain.
O: Pretty good, though I suspect the hop character has faded a little. Look nice, while the aroma and flavour showcase fruity hops, berries, mild citrus, earthiness and grainy malt. Good body. Crisp and refreshing - goes down easily enough. Not sure if this is a one-off, but worth sampling if you see it.
