Our very first triple IPA builds on the success of our latest dipas. This is an intensely hopped modern IPA that uses new harvest Mosaic, El Dorado & Calypso in the biggest quantities we’ve ever tried. The result is an aromatic cyclone of mango, melon and pineapple, followed by a huge wave of tropical juice and bitter grapefruit.

Pours a hazy golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and muddled tropical/citrus hops: mango, pineapple, grapefruit, with hints of pine and herbal dankness. Tastes of biscuity, caramel malt and quite hoppy tropical/citrus notes of mango, pineapple and grapefruit that feel somewhat muddled because of the huge booziness of this though, with some herbal accents and pine coming through as well. Finishes quite boozy, with a medium bitterness and some tropical notes and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a rich body and medium carbonation.
This is just incredibly boozy and kinda reminds me more of one of those tropical liqueurs than a beer. While there are some nice tropical/citrus notes to it, the extreme booziness just completely ruins this for me, I've had other TIPAs that did a much better job of hiding their ABV.
