Hazelnut and Chocolate come together in this smooth stout. The cacao and nut character blends perfectly with the complex malt bill to bring this exploratory, modern stout to life.

330ml can. 4 months old.
Very dark clear ruby tinted brown colour, dark beige substantial head that leaves adequate lace.
Nose is roasted dark chocolate with tart red berry notes. A bit of sweetness. And lots of hazelnut.
Taste is nutty but quite dry. The bitterness is not particularly prominent, and I find it hard to determine if it is bitter chocolate or thin espresso. Carbonation is lively enough providing lingering sharpness. The sweetness is surprisingly absent. The body is quite thin actually.
A bit small, even if very drinkable.

On-tap at Brew By Numbers, London, England
A: The beer is very dark brownish black in color (jet black when viewed from afar). It poured with a quarter finger high light than head that has excellent retention properties.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of chocolate malts with notes of dark malts. There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very chocolaty but this is of the malty (not the dessert) variety.
Serving type: on-tap
