Copenhagen 19/1 2023. 40 cl from draft at Taphouse, Lavendelstræde, Kbh. K.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty, roasted odor mingling with bitter coffee and a touch of vanilla. Dark roasted malts, toffee and biscuits. Earthy coffee grounds. Sharp espresso.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous, smooth texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Perfectly pleasant, not too heavy Porter.
