Copenhagen 15/8 2020. 75 cl bottle from Væskebalancen, Vestergade, Aarhus. Black label with silver letters and decorations. Hop flowers and leaves.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big lightly beige head. Settles as frothy but thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet odor mingling with some sour bitter scents. Toffee, brown sugar, cocoa. Lightly boozy oak. Dark alcohol. Grainy sourness. Hints of funky cheese and citrus,
Light carbonation. Medium thick, smooth, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness, Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter with an underlying subtle sweetness. Lingering. Semi-dry finish with a light boozy edge.
Fine not too heavy Imperial Stout with a light farmhouse touch and a bitter, boozy edge.

huge 750ml bottle that I took over to Beer Nouveau tap to share
poured a jet black body with good thick tan head
Aroma is slightly sour with blackberry flavour has treacle elements some icing sugar minuscule amounts of charcoal
but there is a slimy feel to this that is off putting
bottled marked 2021
