Copenhagen 21/3 2022. 44 cl ca from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Black and white can in Burning Sky's usual design with a drawing of people in a bar enjoying dark beer.

Pours opaque, dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as thin, flimsy patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, toasty, malty odor mingling with a bit of licorice and earthy notes. Dark roasted malts, toffee ad caramel. Salty licorice. Rich, humid soil.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, almost flat texture.

Flavor is fairly ties with a strong sugary sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.

Potent and quit dry ad bitter Imperial Stout. Not too boozy,

L- Black, my halogen torch held behind doesn't get a photon through the glass. Pours with 5mm dark tan fine-bubble head. [ps 20mins later, holds up well, later forms lacing down the sides].
S- Smells of charred timber;
T- Deep, pungent, coffee, quite rich, something prominently aromatic/pungent that I can't ID (blind-tasting) that leaves a lasting impression on the palate after the beer is swallowed.
F- It's full on, deffo one for winter. Thankfully there is zero of the comtemporarily fashionable sweetness about this. It is rich, but then it has to be to *balance* the Beerzilla of a Taste. Ie it comes out overall as 'full-on', rather than rich.
O- You want a statement beer, a stout? This will do it, BIG time. No silly distractions like lychees or passion-fruit popping in, just full-on big-cal double barrel super-deep stout. What an extraordinary beer. I'd happily drink this again though lawks it isn't cheap.
