32 oz crowler, opened 24 hrs after purchase.
Poured in a strange, it had a deep gold color with a big frothy white head. Good clarity with a slight haze.
Sweet malt dominated the aroma and flavor. A little too heavy handed and could have used more hop balance. It felt a little under attenuated. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Easy enough to drink.
Coming off the heels of an outstanding Kölsch I had from a different local brewery a couple of weeks ago, Flounder's version admittedly had a lot to live up to. Would have liked it to have been a little cleaner and lighter on its feet but it's a solid beer overall.
