Our nod to the West Coast style of IPA's. Maris Otter base malt creates this behemoth malt profile. Dry on the finish, and egregiously hopped at almost 4 pounds per barrel! Hop Heads Rejoice!

On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a dark-ish orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells fairly malty, with some candied orange, caramel, and marijuana.

This tastes kind of old – this bar doesn’t usually have old kegs, and rolls over stock well, so I don’t think it’s them. It’s just sort of malty, overly sweet, and not bitter or vibrant enough.

This is medium bodied, slightly syrupy and too heavy, and just not all that drinkable.

I haven’t thought about this brewery in a while, and I’ll probably go back to forgetting about them.

Deep amber color with a sparse, sticky head that left smatters of lace.
Aroma is sweet caramel malt and pine needle resin notes.
The flavor is a bit harsh with alcohol but overall a good balance of malt and hop character. A decent Imperial IPA from Poughkeepsie's Mill House Restaurant that brews beer.

I picked this up in Georgetown, CT at a popular high volume shop. They have a 6/$10 deal going. I like the overall buzz and effect of this beer. Graphics of the can look professional, taste is a little sweet, flavor above average. Definitely a better beer than the bigger companies produce.

Can

Pours a clear golden amber with a thin white head. Soft citrus smell of sweet caramel and malt on the nose. Resinous hops slowly appear as it warms up, slowly making their way through the sticky malt which is very heavy in this beer. Overall this beer is solid just feels heavy to me and not something that is refreshing, but more made for warming up in the winter.

Tap at Tap and Mallet Rochester
Slightly hazy orange amber color with a stingy white head. Fruity apricot and lots of resinous earthy pine. Faint bready maltiness underneath. Nice IPA

Poured a medium brass hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured balmy piney hops and a robust cereal malt.

The taste offered a heavy upfront pine element with a full round malt and residual bitterness.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style.

Overall a pretty nice DIPA. Lacks brightness however.
