Copenhagen 5/3 2023. 33 cl bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Drawing of a Daniel Craig lookalike in smoking considering ordering a Dry Martini on the label.
Pours opaque murky brownish amber with a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy, almost transparent layer of foam. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of malts and stone fruits mingling with subtle citric notes. Sweet caramel and ripe peach. Touch of mango. Lemon and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Potent and rather sweet. Bitter bite in the finish.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%, IBU 70. OG 1070, FG 1014. Hops are Cascade, Nugget, Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe. Hazy orange colour, large head, slightly off-white. Strong aroma of fruity American hops, notes of oranges and pine. The flavour has some sweetness but not too much, and has still enough malts to support the fruity and piney hops. Very bitter finish. Not a bad IPA this one.

It's a solid, hoppy, high test IPA; not overly complex and maybe a little malty, but still well worth pursuing and certainly a pour this hophead in exile would like to get more of! Started with a solid punch of bitterness before it let the hops out for a sharp floral taste. I won't drive a 1000 miles for one, but would buy a case if I saw it on a shelf.
