Copenhagen 5/1 2016. 50 cl bottle from Eternellen in Frederiksund. Drawing of bearded guy in Jesus posture on the label. He blinks jovially on top of it. That's what you get for buying a beer named "The Saviour".
Pours clear reddish dark brown with a small off-white head. A bit bubbly. Leaves patchy remnants of foam floating around. No lacing.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, coffee and a little chocolate. Toast and biscuits.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick texture. Gently tingling texture.
Flavor is quite well balanced. A little roasted sweetness balanced by light coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is not particularly long and mostly sweet.
A pleasure to be saved by this simple chum.

June 2014: Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 6.0%. Dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of chocolate and caramel, a hint of liquorice. Nice smooth flavour, not too sweet, chocolate, liquorice and hints of spices. Would buy again.
