Overhovedet is The Syndicate's tribute to the passage of time.
Strong dark ale, where the ingredients are carefully selected and of really high quality. Long-term fermented on a famous West Flanders Trappist yeast.
This Beer will delight year after year with aromas and flavors that give associations to caramel, dark fruit, raisins, dates and much more.
Overhovedet is consulted in connection with difficult choices, and it is usually best to follow his advice.
Taste one and keep one - it only gets better with time.

Copenhagen 14/4 2024. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Syndikatet’s usual design with a drawing of an old patriarch with a goblet of beer.
Pours clear dark Maroon with a small off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sugary sweet odor of dark fruits and alcohol. Brown sugar, toffee, raisins and plums marinated in liqueur. Whiff of humid cellar.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet toffee and dark alcohol. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Nice boozy take on a Quadrupel.
