Copenhagen 17/8 2018. 50 cl bottle from Best of Beers Webshop. Drawing of Redhead and Red Dressed Barrista on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with bubbly, lightly beige head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sound mix of Coffee bitterness and sugary sweetness. The sweetness dominates. Roasted malts, coffee, sugar and hints of sweetish orange.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, lively and tingling texture. A little oily and sticky.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness which is not cloying at all. Followed by light coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is medium bitter with sweet notes. Lingering. Finish is bitter and sweet - like a good cup of Cappuccino.
A Stout that is easy and pleasant to drink with a lot of flavor. And they actually do deliver on their claim that this is a Cappuccino Stout. Could use a little edge - but then again - then it wouldn't be a Cappuccino Stout.
