16oz pint on tap at Eudora, served in a Nonic glass.
Appearance: Dark brown. Lets very little light through in a full glass, but has some clarity to it along with a bit of haze. Thin white head - very little lacing.
Smell: A bit smoky, some roasted malt, a tiny hint of cocoa powder, and some leafy hops.
Taste: Lots of lovely roasted malt flavor. A little bit sweet with a little bit of milk chocolate tempered with some mild leafy hop / tea-like bitterness. Quite tasty.
Mouthfeel: Light carbonation - very much in the English style for a brown ale in regards to carbonation. Good thickness and a little bit sticky on the teeth.
Overall / Drinkability: A good beer to sip and savor, and easily drinkable. I believe this would pair really well with a wide range of food.
