4oz taster, on tap.
Appearance: Very dark brown to black. Very little head or lacing.
Smell: Bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt.
Taste: Initial hit of bittersweet chocolate and coffee, and then a long lingering char/burnt malt taste. Way too much dark malt with this beer - definite strong burn/char taste with this one. Tasty, but the finish throws it off a bit.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, chewy, mild carbonation.
Overall: An okay stout, especially if you're in the mood for bitterness. Otherwise not a great stout.
