Poured on-tap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a slightly hazed, copper-caramel coloring, with a slow flow of carbonation bubbling. Aromas of caramel sweet, resinous and oily hops, and a subtle roast character. Flavors are tangy caramel forward, with a blast of overtart grapefeuit, and a heavily bitter hops character. This is a bit out of balance, and a bit hop heavy for the style. Light, smooth bodied, with a very bitter and resinous aftertaste. My mouth has an astringent feel to it. Dry, bitter, lingering finish.
