From a can at the Burning Can Festival (NC)
Clear amber body with an excellent head.
Sweet and lightly spicy aroma with vanilla. Mildly biter overall.
Tannins but no glaring TEA aspect.

The tea flavor is definitely prominent but it's more of that over steeped bitter tea flavor which isn't so good. The bitterness is balanced with a bit of sweetness. But with the carbonation this reminds of the tea you can buy in Aluminum cans which isn't a good thing. I hate the mouthfeel of that kind of tea.

Poured from can to glass, this beer has an amazing copper color, similar to that of iced tea. You can smell the tea leaves and the honey. This continues to the taste with a strong tea flavor. Absolutely wonderful and supremely refreshing. Quite literally tastes like a nice (but carbonated) glass of iced tea! This is easily one of the best refreshing "summertime" beers I've had this year!

It has a nice reddish hue bordering on brown. It smells like raw honey with some malt and hop aromas in the background. At first taste you get a nice black tea taste and the honey so for a moment it tastes like a great sweet tea but at the end the bitterness destroys that dream. The last taste is over steeped bitter tea. The overly bitter finish does not compliment the thoughts of a large porch on a nice hot day sipping sweet tea that the first tastes invoked. I wish the finish were less bitter. So close to being a beer I would seek on a hot day.

On tap twice now during a hot southern day at the US National Whitewater Center. Here's the deal on this beer. I am very happy when a beer description fits the beer and this is exactly the case here. It is a really nice mix of a well made brown with a good dark sweet tea flavor. The best "tea" flavored beer I've had. It's like walking around with a sweet tea but if you removed the tea it would still be a good beer. The mix works well and definitely worth a try. I normally like my Hop Drop and Roll at the USNWC but as long as this is on tap I'm grabbing one. Enjoyable.

One of the new growler offerings from Lowe's foods. Pours a nice amber color with a minimal head and some lacing. The taste is different but nice as this is infused with tea. The mouthfeel is in the medium range as I would expect from an amber ale. Paired well with some Mahi we were grilling. another nice offering from the Unknown Brewery.
