We aged this Gose in 15 years old Nicaraguan Rum barrels and added plenty of fresh key limes.

A: Pours a hazy yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall fizzy foamy white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of key lime citrus, briny salt, slightly spicy oak (rum barrel), and sour wheat malts.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of slightly sour wheat malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of briny salt and key lime citrus. Moderate flavors of spicy, sweet rum and oak. Light amounts of lingering salty tartness in the finish.

M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: A lot going on in a style that is not often complex but this one is successful. Slightly saltier than some of the other offerings but still easy to drink and the rum + key lime work well together. I could easily have a couple of these.

A: The beer is hazy light yellow in color. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a large patch of bubbles that mostly covered the entire surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of key limes are present in the nose along with some notes of rum.
T: The taste follows the smell, having salty flavors of key limes with a bit of sourness. There are some hints of rum from the barrel aging in the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very interesting take on the style and is really packed with aromas and flavors of key limes. The bits of rum also add an interesting twist. It is very easy to drink and has some refreshing qualities.

Appearance - Pour foggy yellow with think soapy white head that lasts forever.

Aroma - Lots of funk, tart key lime, salty.

Taste - Tart bite at first, I think the rum many take away some of the tartness as it gets smooth after the initial pop. Salt and a little funk with lime.

Feel - Smooth after the initial pop nice carbonation.

Overall - A pretty tasty beer light refreshing

Not a huge gose fan, however, a rum barrel aged key lime gose?....I'll give that a try

A: Light straw with some cloudy haze. Good looking gose
S: Not much there. Mayyyybe a little saltiness, some key lime perhaps?? Pretty non-discript
T: There it is. Key lime giving the typical gose sour some fruitiness. Good amount of saltiness making you want another sip, with some rum in the background giving a slight vanilla/sweet backbone. Very good balance!
F: Glad the BA didn't overtake this beer. Light and refreshing...could easily finish this 4 pack with the warm weather still kicking
O: This may have won me over on gose. Yes, I still enjoy Westbrook's and no, I haven't had their margarita gose, but this is quite delicious. Worth a pick up if you see it.

Look - Orange-ish in color with no head

Smell - One of the faintest smelling beers i've ever experienced. Smells sweet and salty with a little bit of booze.

Taste - Awesome! Slightly sweet and acidic with a really nice salty taste. The rum barrels play their part in complimenting the sweetness, but the slight taste of alcohol (at 4.1%) really balances things nicely. Mild for a gose but lots of different flavors going on.

Feel - Smooth, almost flat, but i enjoy the lack of bubbles in this particular beer, since it isn't relatively tart or acidic.

Overall - Really fun beer, loving these BA gose recently.
