This comes from a one pint can that is not dated as far as I can tell although it rattles off the ABV, IBU, SRM,and Plato numbers. Sampled on March 27, 2018.
Handsome looking chestnut colored pour under a modest, short-lived off-white head.
The aroma expresses a lot of sweet malts, toffee, molasses, feint cocoa, and yet there is a low to no hop profile. Maybe just a vague citrus or earthy bite.
The mouthfeel is light to medium but smooth and creamy.
The clean bitterness is more evident in the taste. It is the climax of a collection of sensations that include sweet malts, vanilla or cocoa, toffee, and nuttiness, Very much what one would expect from an Amber Ale.
