16oz undated can.

Pours hazy copper with moderate retention. Mild notes of earthy pine in the nose. Medium bodied with a tacky mouthfeel. Malty and lightly hoppy on the palate. Finishes a bit sweet and malty.

Needs way more hops and quite malty for a modern day IIPA.

Fairly clear deep golden color with a decent sized frothy white head that persists. Spicy earthy minty wafts out of the glass as soon as I pour it. Hints of fruit and ethanol with a touch of bread round it out. The flavor is maltier than I'd hoped for and somewhat astringent aspirin taste. Minty earthy spicy hop flavor with some noticeable alcohol flavor. Decent beer.

Picked up a can of this yesterday at Craft Beer Cellar in Nashua, NH. My first from the brewery, Incognito Browser has a pretty cool can which includes a fun and apropos graphic along with a die-cut of NH made from the negative space of the label itself... very neat! The only thing this is really missing is the date it was canned on, but I'm pretty sure it's within the last month just from some quick Facebook research. Still, small breweries like this really should be focusing on letting the consumer know the freshness of their product. It's a no-brainer to me, but it seems like many are forgetting this simple detail.

Anyway, this pours a light-medium golden/lighter amber color with a thin but fairly-retentive head of bone-white foam. Some carbonation rises from the bottom of my glass, and then I notice... I can actually mostly see through this beer! An IPA from New England that retains some sense of clarity? "Maybe I'm dreaming..." I think, which I guess could be possible as I only recently awoke from a nap, but... nope! This is real life! Hot damn... jokes aside, this is a pretty good looking beer, kind of reminding me of a simpler time in the recent history of this style.

Incognito Browser was brewed with Simcoe, Citra, Idaho 7, Huell Melon and Calypso hops, and it has a very interesting and surprisingly-multifaceted nose that bespeaks such a cool and unusual hop bill. I get a big hit of tropical fruit (mango and papaya with light pineapple facets) alongside some moderate caramel malt and a bit of a grassy, piney resin note as well. Some melon, apricot and black tea from the I7 and Huell Melon are definitely noticeable here, too, but these elements mostly reside in the background. Still, I really like the approach here. Reminds me of some of my favorite modern DIPAs not in the "NEIPA" style (Castle Island Hi-Def and Lamplighter Rabbit Rabbit are a couple choices in this sub-style).

On the tongue this seems to lead off with a hefty maltiness backed up by flavors of tangerine, apricot, mango and cantaloupe. A long and lasting bitterness sticks around on the tongue with elements of black tea and sticky pine followed by a light honeyed note and a light vegetal note. Unique flavor with pretty solid drinkability, but it does taste just a tad heavier than it probably should. That said, most DIPAs that aren't chalky in the finish thanks to suspended yeast tend to leave my palate with this sensation, so perhaps I'm overly-sensitive in this age of cloudy juice bombs. The ABV is moderately noticeable, with a prickly, warming sensation that kind of feels like some Lagunitas stuff I've had in the past. I would probably drink this again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it. It's a solid entry into a crowded scene and it makes somewhat of an attempt to stand out from the pack, but it doesn't go all in on that attempt. I'm left happy that I gave it a shot, but not excited by the beer itself.
