Little spot off the beaten path...was not expecting the numerous selection and size of the place. So glad I stopped by! Impressive lineup of West Coast Double IPAs that were very good quality. Customer service was fantastic!

This is a great little brewery that only sells from their taproom. The taproom is small and can get very crowded, but I always got good service, no matter the crowd. The actual brewers tend taps and talk to customers. I really enjoyed the details I got from the brewers about their beers. Overall the vibe was very relaxed and friendly, just like a good taproom should be. I understand they are expanding the size of their taproom in the future. That would be nice.

They have a very interesting selection of beers. In several trips, I have tried almost everything they currently sell and I am very impressed with the overall quality of every style. They had about 16 taps including several barrel-aged beers and one on nitro. Standouts for me included the Xbalanque barrel-age Grand Cru, the Cavalry Double IPA, the Axolotol IPA, the Rio Bravo American Wheat Ale with cranberries and the Vincent American Red Sour with petite Syrah Must.

They sell a lot of growlers, and are happy to fill outside and blank growlers. They also sell 32oz crowlers. The pricing of fulls pours was very good at $5-$6 for most beers. They have 6 and 12 beer tasting flights, but will also sell a 4oz taster for any beer.

This is not near my house, but I plan to stop in whenever I am in the area.

Best Local Brewery.
As of yet, I have not came across the selection in the local area. Of course, I have seen a larger selection in larger buildings in the O.C. but, by far the best local spot. I had tried their I.P.A, Triple Belgiun and Sour Stout. I understand they are continually "Progressing" with different ideas I intent to bagain to bounce in there again to check it out.

Progress Brewing is located in an industrial area of El Monte near Whittier Narrows. It's a fairly small establishment with brewing equipment in one section separated by a wall with a cut-out. You can kind of see what's back there.

The tasting section had a bar with stools and about 3 benches to sit, drink, watch sports, and play board games. I thought for the total space of the building, it was a nice layout.

They had many styles to choose from up on their board. It was crowded with no seating when I went, so instead of getting my usual flight of tasters, I just bought a pint of Calvary, which is their double IPA. I thought it was a solid beer.

Not the best of locations, but once inside, a cool place to hangout with good beers. I'll try to visit again when it's not so busy and try their other beers.

Great little spot that I heard great things about. One of the owners was there and was totally able to answer any question about their beer. Real simple set up. Had a taster of everything, was very
impressed...Armadillo was my favorite!

Checked this brewery out and it's actually quite cool. Beers are cheap, averaging $4-$6. Tried this Bronco and it was Okay. My favorite was their Sidewinder!
