This is a rye barrel aged imperial Baltic Porter. It is part of the "Brewer's Small Batch Series". My 16 oz can was purchased at the brewery's pub in Holland in August 2022 (about 5 months ago). It has a dark reddish-orange colored body with high clarity. It's was topped by a thin, weak beige head.
The aroma is a mix of woody, whiskey and roasted grain notes. The flavor is a bit stronger than the aroma suggests, partly due to the significant levels of both bitterness and sweetness. Well balanced with partly hidden ABV and good complexity.
