L: Pours a pitch black color and a larege creamy tan head and a few fingers of lacing.

S: Nice roasted malt, mixed with chocolate, some smoke and ash, slight bit of cherry, a bit of floral hop at the end.

T: Nice dark roasted malt, mixed with some chocolate and coffee, a slight cherry tartness, some smoke and ash, and a bit of floral hop at the end.

F: Creamy smooth mouthful and full body.

O: This is a fantastic stout that I am sad to see go.

Look: Black with khaki head. Pretty good lacing. 1 finger of head. Smell: Roasted malts. Hints of coffee. Some wood. Taste: The best part of this beer. Same notes as the nose. Smoky, wood, roasted malts, some coffee. Warms the body, for sure. Feel: Creamy and delicious. Not too much carbonation, but a slightly surprising amount for a stout. Overall: A pretty good beer. As far as stouts go I may lean towards something else, but I am intrigued by what else this brewery has to offer. Luckily I work near this brewery. I may just have to swing by and try out some of their other beers to form a more solid opinion on the brewery itself!

Pours a black color. One inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of roasted malt, sweet malt, slight coffee, slight chocolate, slight alcohol, hint of hop, and a hint of wood. Fits the style of an American Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, sweet malt, slight coffee, slight chocolate, slight alcohol, hint of yeast, and a hint of wood. Overall, great appearance, good aroma, good body, blend, and complexity.

Frequent tap pours from the brewery, currently drinking a 22oz Bomber from which I will give my review.

Pours into a deep, almost pure black stout which settles nicely & affords a nice creamy head which holds for some time. There are definite malty notes with a first hit on the tongue and a delicate, lighter coffee note which comes mid swig. Finishing returns to the malty-oatmeal background which lingers nicely.

Not my favorite beer from the brewery, or as a stout from Boulder itself but a solid offering which is supremely drinkable and one in which I could enjoy several pints to myself or stick with it for the night (which I would not not say about many stouts).

Go to the tap room itself, which is the real treat. Tastings are free so if its not one you fancy they'll let you run the rounds of whats on tap.
