Bottle. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of roasted malt and little else. Very malty and sweet with some piney notes and bitterness.

22 oz bottle, dated 7/25/14. Pours clear golden orange with a huge creamy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is subdued and odd - sweet candy malts with some garlic.
The flavor is sweet sugary malts with garlic and onion hops and some green apple. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, this one is just a mess - sugary garlic/onion with green apples.

formerly kettle and stone, these guys are killing it. super blue collar priced stuff, but unrivaled in quality. this is a simply hopped ipa, crystal and something like cascade, its familiar in flavor and nose, but the quality of its craftsmanship is what makes it memorable and worth repeat buying for me. pale hued almost amber shade, hazy and heady, almost two inches of off white foam not realizing at all in my red wine glass. the nose is a mix of grassy and piney hops, subtle on both counts, but balanced by just enough grain. super dry as well, fully fermented and no residual sugar to speak of. grains appear fresh, and the hops, as simple and last wave as they are, are bright and resonant throughout this beer, culminating in a springy bitter finish, both refreshing and completely satisfying. mouthfeel is as good as it is in any of their beers, fuller bodied, lush and full, but not at all heavy. carbonation is peppery and upbeat, dancing on the tongue, clean too, just bitterness after the swallow. top quality brew from these guys, they deserve much more attention.
