This was one of the first beers I ordered when back in the US after living in Germany. Understandably, I had high hopes considering I remembered American beer to be very good when living in the US. This was the first beer I ever gave back to the bar tender. It wasn't a hefeweizen, and, while many American hefes just aren't authentic, it just didn't cut it for me. Color was Orange and somewhat cloudy, but not typical of a hefe. Smell was sweet citrus but kind of mute. Taste was more sour than sweet, but there was an absence of wheat. Feel was consistent of any other wheat beer, nothing special. I think there was a reason it was a one off brew.
