Ichabod’s Return embodies everything we love about fall; Mulled spices, Halloween, and the colors of falling leaves. He is medium bodied, copper in color, with raisin, dried fruit and clove flavors. The added nutmeg and clove present a remarkably warm and spicy aroma, due to the perceived absence of hops.
The nutmeg and clove are locally sourced from Savory Spice Shop in Princeton, NJ.
Story behind the beer:
Colonel Ichabod Crane, born in Elizabeth NJ in 1787, was a respected US Marines and Army officer, and the likely namesake of the iconic character in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The story takes place on an eerie Halloween night.

You can taste the nutmeg, it really stands out. This is a very good effort for Rings Duin.
