330 mL bottle poured into a straight-sided glass.

Appearance - Deep red amber body. Murky. Small off-white head. Settles to a very thin collar.

Smell - The label says this is made with maiz morado, which is purple corn. It definitely smells like it. Unfortunately, it comes off as medicinal and cough-syrupy. Light grainy malt aroma, too. A little fruity.

Taste - Grainy at first. Then the corn flavor comes in. It's sweet and medicinal again. More bitter this time, so it isn't as bad as it smelled, though.

Mouthfeel - Sweet, but some of the bitterness cuts it. Medium body, but heavy for an amber. Medium low bitterness.

Overall - That corn flavor isn't pleasant. Sweet and medicinal.
