A: Had this beer on tap at Gene's Haufbrau, poured into a pint glass. Had a black color and a thick texture. There was a small amount of creamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Very good lacing.

S: A subtle aroma of chocolate, malt, and something sweet.

T: Tasted of chocolate, some malt, a very distinct licorice note, and a bit of yeast as well. This is a solid flavor, but much of it is front-loaded leaving a slightly bland finish. Still, pretty good.

M: A decent amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Kind of an odd stout, but worth checking out. Drinkable.
