Taster at the brewery. Dark brown pour, thin ring of head. Roasty aroma, taste follows with roasty and chocolate flavors. Nice bite and minor sweetness. Well done.

Pint consumed at Capone's in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for approx. $5. It's brewed 3-4 miles north of where I'm sitting.
Dark brown color, with a creamy being colored head. "Beer neglige-style lace.
Roasty and sweet aroma. Hits the style buttons in an unspectacular, workman-like way.
Similar to the nose, but with a little bit of a lactic type twang. The roastiness of the malts is somewhat restrained.
Slightly thin body and mouthfeel for a porter.
Decent but not noteworthy. A semi-local porter that's a good choice when looking for exactly that, but otherwise not worth hunting down.
