On-draught @ Avenue Pub for Zwanze Day.

Acidic and smacky. Scintillae of pear and orchard apple. Barnyard funkiness. Obvious brettanomyces bruxellensis. Wood (cedar, oak). Enjoyable sourness (~5/10).

Lactobacillus bacteria. Microfloral intricacy.

Impressive work from Great Raft.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a slightly hazed light golden orange topped by a dense finger and a half of white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells intensely fruity with some pluot notes as well as a little funk and sourness
T: Taste is a really nice and fairly intense sourness with those pluot notes and a little funk. Swallow is funk, sourness, a little oak, hint of vanilla, and more pluot.
M: This beer is on the lighter side of medium. Carbonation is effervescent but is not prickly while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer. It has great flavors and complexity with a strong but not overwhelming level of sourness. Very well executed. Definitely one to try if they make it again.
