16 fl oz can:
Vaguely fruity with a citrus edge, but also a pulpy yet somehow thin feeling texture. Pulpy up front but thin and weak on the back end. Overhopped for the style, to be sure, but not a bad brew. Just not crisp or clean drinking...it's a rice lager with obvious influence from the turbid hoppy ales plaguing the U.S., and I don't know that that's a good thing.
I don't know that it's fair to even review this as a Japanese rice lager; it's really more an IPL.

Poured from can into tulip, scant 1 finger white head, so so retention and lacing. Pale yellow in the class, slight chill haze. Grain on the nose with a hint of citrus, clean and inviting. Dry on the front with a little malt sweetness, citrus in the middle (orange/lemon) and finishes dry with a slight bitterness on the finish. Residual citrus left on the palate. Clean drinking beer, not on par with Icy Boys from Zilker in taste or price, but an ok beer in itself. Rest are packed away for sushi nite.

Pours an effervescent bright gold with 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Alright head retention & lacing
S: Sweet breadyness, some citrus notes
T: Very dry, sweetness, little grassyness & soapy hops up front. Grassy, lime notes a little soapyness & very dry as this warms. Finishes dry, a little sweet with lime & grassyness
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, super dry
As a stand alone beer this doesn't wow me, could certainly slay some with some Sushi or Sashimi. True to the style
