Show Pony is the newest addition to our lager program, and this crisp easy-drinker will be a new favorite. Made with craft malt from North Carolina-based Riverbend Malt House and Tettnanger hops, Show Pony was brewed in the German kellerbier style for an unfiltered lager that’s sure to please.

MALTS: Chesapeake Pilsner Malt, Great Chit Malt
HOPS: Tettnanger

My label says that it's a Bohemian-style pilsner. Show Pony's appearance is cloudy gold, with a thick, creamy white head and heavy lacing. The aroma is of cracker. It has a similar flavor, with grassy bitterness and low sweetness. Show Pony has a medium body and a dry finish.

Gold pour, but of haze, ring of a head. Nose is Pils and herbs.

Taste is sweet Pils, water cracker, herbal hops, floral hops notes. Light mouthfeel. Finish is dry and herbal.

The can I had labeled it as a Bohemian Pils. It definitely tasted like a Pilsner

Poured from can into tulip, scant 1 finger head, good retention and lacing. Pale golden in the glass, persistent chill haze. Cracker malt on the nose followed up by grassy/herbal notes. Taste follows the nose, cracker, grain on the front with a good malt sweetness, grassy/hay notes thru the middle with a good sharp bitterness on the finish. Carbonation keeps it lively on the tongue.
