Insidious Monk is a Belgian Tripel that embellishes subtle notes of citrus and bubblegum delicately wrapped in a sweet yet surprisingly dry, warm, and velvety smooth finish.

Bought this beer and let it sit in my beer cooler for months before mustering the courage to give it a try. Was convened I would be disappointed and be stuck drinking a crappy beer. Was pleasantly surprised when I finally opened it. WOW, brewed in Louisiana? I need to get more...

Pours a beautiful hazy, golden with a little white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Medium lacing. Good notes of banana and clove. Kind of sweet and bready malts on the nose. The taste is much the same. Light mouthfeel. A nice take on a classic Belgian style.

Pours an orange-hued golden color with an inch of white foam. Settles in good time with a moderate amount of lace. Smell is of classic triple notes: banana and clove lead the cast with secondary notes of cracker malt and yeasty sweetness. Taste is also par for the course. Estery and sweet. Feel is light medium with moderate carbonation. Overall, a nice collaboration. Solid example of the style.
