Sample 5oz pour at Mispillion River Brewing tasting room. This is batch #2, and strikes me as both a little more malty and a little more hoppy than batch #1 had been. Nice amber color. Great sticky lacing despite minimal thickness in the collar. Good carbonation. The nose, I swear, evinces sweet ganja (how would I know?) and spicy green pepper (like Thai food), but on the palate, the malts assert & challenge the hops for front row seating. Because the malts & hops are so powerful, the heat of the alcohol is much subdued. Mouthfeel is full/supple and satisfying. Overall, one of the more compelling offerings in the increasingly stellar Mispillion lineup. I could see gettin' Cal Naughton "hammered drunk" on this charmer. Kudos to Ryan for stepping up the game from batch #1 and evoking boisterous shrieks of "Holy Crap!"
