Pours a clear golden and light amber color with visible carbonation. The head is modest and rapidly dissipating.
The aroma opens with an earthy, barnyard like funk. This soon gives way to tart lime juice, balanced with some wheat sweetness, and a touch of briny, salt like aromatics.
Tart overall, but not too puckering. This is because there is a noticeable malt backbone with notes of wheat and caramel. The lime adjunct adds tartness by way of flavors of lime and lemon pith, yet, also some sweetness as it tastes somewhat like a lime juice with sugar. There is a touch of sea salt along with a touch of peppery flavors.
Light bodied, crisp mouthfeel and with a dry tart finish. The carbonation is lively.
Not a bad Gose. It was refreshing on a hot day.
