Poured from a can. Straw in color with a white head. Smells of malt, honey and biscuits. Flavors of bread, hint of lemon, hint of sweet with a malty backbone. Good!

12oz can. No dating information found. Purchased at Price Cutter in Springfield MO.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Thin white head upon pouring, which results in a long lasting skiff (fed by rising bubbles). Leaves behind several rings and webs of lacing.
Aroma is toasted bread malt, lemon, and grassy hops.
Taste is full, with a minimum of bitterness. Doughy bread malts (sweet). Earthy and grassy hops, with some lemon. Longer aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel leads to a sudden clarity of a clean and sharp finish. Very good carbonation.
Checks for style with the lack of bitterness. Bright and crisp beer, with a lot of expression.

12oz can received via the NBS BIF and the generosity of Russpowell. My first from Ozark.

Poured into an Olympia pilsner glass, this was a beautifully clear gold, with a nice, though not particularly long-lived eggshell-white head. Nice rings of lace left behind on the glass. It looks great, like a classic pils.

Aroma of soft, herbal & grassy hops and mild, bready malts.

Taste is similar to the smell. Definitely tastes like a Czech pils, not as sharp as a German-style one. Softly herbal and grassy, with a lightly crisp, dry finish.

Soft mouth feel, although finishing with in a properly crisp and clean manner for the style.

This is a great U.S. take on a Czech/Bohemian pilsner. At 4.6% abv, I could drink this all day, and would do so happily, if able. If this is an accurate introduction to Ozark Beer Co., I'm going to be very happy with the other beers Russ has sent me. Thank you!

Pours an effervescent gold with3 fingers of eggshell colored head ( vigorous pour ). beautiful head retention & lacing

S: Very bready, floral & perfumy hops

T: Lemons, breadyness, flinty mineral & herbal hops up front. Dryness, lemons, soapyness & breadyness once warm. Finishes, well crisp, dry with lemony hops, soapyness & a nice bready sweetness

MF: Medium body, fairly form carbonation up front, softens as it warms. Well balanced

So easy to drink, flavor profile was a little too clean for the style, but still a great take on the style
