12oz can from the brewery. Poured a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of rich toffee, caramel, vanilla and boozy bourbon. Sweet toffee taste with charred oak, vanilla and bourbon.

The pour is a murky brown color, I am reminded of a strong iced tea with copious amounts of sugar. Murky is an appropriate term.
The taste is first, sweet. Brown sugar and toffee leads the way, a little molasses and fresh, warm bread. A little bourbon floats around the edges.
That is over simplified, but it is all I have.
The feel isn’t viscous, but it certainly has enough body to carry the flavors.
OA, this may be the most decadent barleywine I’ve ever had.

Pours an effervescent & ruddy hazel/brown with fast-falling sand colored head. Viscous, zero head retention & lacing

S: Figs, brown sugar, plenty of Bourbon once warmer, really opens up once warmer

T: Follows the nose, leafy & woody hops, a bit of Barrel bite up front. Figs, a little leather, brown sugar & toffee once warmer, a touch of prune & red grapes & just a little molasses, some oak & woody hops. Finishes a bit dry, with treacle, toffee, leafy hops & Bourbon kissed Brown Sugar & figs

MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, slightly warming. Wish this was thicker; my main problem with this one. Does cling to the teeth

Drinks great for the ABV, these guys rarely miss on a Barrel Aged Beer
