Nitro-tap @ Sockeye Boise. Served in a pint glass.
A: Nitro appearance, with a creamy & constant small-bubbled tan head. Body is nearly opaque.
S: Lots of chocolate right off the bat, big sweetness overall with notes of vanilla and caramel and milk sugars. Roast is pretty subdued.
T: Starts out very chocolatey and sweet, with the same sweet flavors as the aroma; milk chocolate, cocoa, toffee, lactose sugar. Finish is a bit watery.
MF: Definitely lighter bodied, you can tell this isn't a big abv beer. A bit watery.
O: This milk stout had a lot going for it right off the bat but the nitro hinders it as it warms (in my opinion). Still a solid offering with plenty of chocolate character for those who like their stouts sweeter.
