i thought this was an excellent pils, leagues more enjoyable than my experience with their lonesome larry lager, and a beer i could absolutely make an afternoon of. its clear and bright yellow in the pint glass under a lacy white head and showing a lot of carbonation. a bit minimal in the nose, but real clean, none of the dusty sort of forward pils malt character you generally get in the imports, and the hops and yeast both seem really fresh to me, nice balance as well. the flavor is pretty classic, so tidy on the fermentation, nice and dry and with a little bit of the yeast left in the taste at the end, which i prefer in the style. there are earthy minerals, fresh crackery pale pils malt, and some bright noble hops that are perhaps a little more ramped up than is common. i like the flavor of the hops a lot, spicy and drying, bitter and classic, magic with whats left of the yeast. light but not watery in feel, nice carbonation and a little body for how easy drinking it is, which i always enjoy in one of these. crisp and refreshing and hoppy to finish, they did a really nice job with this one, and i hope to be drinking it all summer long! one of the better local pils types i have had so far in idaho and way better than its ratings here.

Decent, but overly dry throughout (taste and finish). This dryness diminishes the drinkability/thirst quenching capability of this German classic. Hops prevalent, slightly hazy pale golden body, small airy head.

Lucky Peak Pilsner- a brew from Paul Sockeye’s German-style Pilsner is a bright golden color and crystal clear. Saaz hops are very prevalent with a spicy bitterness, flavor and aroma. It is refreshingly smooth and crisp with a malty presence typical of this style of lager. This brewer’s whim addition to our line-up of beer styles is limited this season, so enjoy and toast the Bohemians!
Bright polished gold... Nice white head.. Clean malt with an obvious floral/spicy hoppiness .. Good bitterness... Very drinkable... Best locally made pilsner IMO... No real flaws.
