Had this on tap last night at Bittercreek's 2014 Funkfest. I was pretty surprised at this one and out of about 8-10 wild ales, this was one of the best.
Pours fairly clear dark pink/red... white head rises up and dies back fairly quickly.
Nose is bright cherry with a lemony sorta lactic element... smells fantastic... a little more funk on the nose than the palate.
Taste is nice cherry essence... very puckery.. something that reminds me of fresh cut grass, but that could be in my head.
Light bodied and very drinkable, but I would get heartburn after more than a glass or two.
Really happy to see Sockeye moving into the wild ale realm.. and this one is promising.
