Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a dark reddish brown color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave some light fizzy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of some tart cherry and vinegar smells mixed other dark fruit smells of plum and raisin. Along with these aromas comes a little bit of grass and hay and a light musty smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a moderate apple cider vinegar and tart cherry and green apple taste. As the taste advances these flavors grow stronger and are joined by some other darker fruit tastes of plum and raisin. At the end, a hay flavor comes to the tongue and with a bit of an herbal hop presence and a surge of the tart cherry, one is left with a decently sour and tart, but not over the top so, dark fruit taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the thinner and crisper side with a carbonation level that is high. For the decently tart and sour tastes mixed with the dark fruit the feel is rather well done and makes for a nice easy drinking sour.
Overall – I am not really a huge sour fan, but this one seems more balanced to me and is one that I rather like. Quite tasty and very approachable.

Yeah, cola colour, small off white foam. Smells of sour cherries alright but has peculiar odor of something...checking the label..yogurt? Really? The taste seems to be affected by that as well

Can from Boise Co-op. Dark ruby pour, small bubbly head dissipates quickly. Aroma reminds of grape juice. Taste is mildly sour, sweet, palatable. Nice gateway sample for the style.
