On-tap at Bier:Thirty, Boise ID, served in a snifter.
Pours a gorgeous clear ruby color, minimal head present and it looks lightly-carbed. Lemony tartness and lacto are present on the first sniff, but it doesn't smell overpowering. Tart cherry is there as well, subdued though. Flavors follow...lacto and some lemon combine with a light cherry presence that makes this beer pretty easy to drink but leaves you wanting more cherry. Hints of that light, malty brown-sugar character I get in there Belgian-style beers. Light body with low carb works well with this fruit beer.
Overall I could drink this again but would really love to see more cherry flavors in this one; hopefully Sockeye will up the cherries in the next batch.
