12oz bottle picked up at the Boise Co-op in Meridian, ID
Poured into a Lolo Peak Belgian-style tulip
P somewhat murky deep mahogany/black w/ a small light khaki ring; no lace
N med to med-bold; choc, bourbon, barrel, a bit of mustiness; really nice
T bold, bright and cohesive profile; choc, toffee, citrus, bourbon, and barrel; plenty of warming heat; no oxidation detected; delicious
Mf med-full bodied w/ a solid dose of prickly carb; slick, smooth, creamy
O really solid stuff- exceeded expectations; will absolutely grab if I ever see it again

Holy moly this is always a big one, have had it before but never rated it here; oily, dirty looking dark brown, opaque with minimal head. Boozy and rich on the nose, brown bread and dark fruits, unsweetened dark chocolate and toasted caramel, some figgy tobacco, lots of bourbon spirits, with vanilla and toffee. Sticky, viscous, big, boozy, pretty sweet, almost no carbonation. Good stuff.

Heaven Hill barrel-aged blend of Seven Devils imperial stout and Devil's Tooth barleywine - excellent combination, a great dark & boozy simmer for winter nights.
