Had this beer at the brewery in West Boise 5 or 6 years ago. Run-of-the-mill beer, good solid beer but nothing special.

On tap at Footbridge Boise.
Hazy and attractive appearance, the head is fizzy and soapy and recedes quickly though.
Traditional (and inviting) hoppy Sockeye nose...piney with notes of grapefruit and citrus, orange and tangerine...malty undertones.
The taste follows the nose as the beer unfolds with some decent hop bitterness and fruity character, grapefruit and peach even...some pine as well...citrus pith, crisp dry finish.
I like this one, though it isn’t overly special and unique. A good ‘hazy’ offering for the Boise market.

one of the lightest and easiest drinking hazy types i have had to date, not in appearance, still looks like a hefe or something in the glass, but in flavor and feel, its not over dry hopped, its not thick and dense in feel, and its not trying to be too much, its a perfect hazy for summer and one of the better hoppy beers i have had from these guys overall now, more delicate than almost any i have encountered. the aroma and flavor show a citra sort of hopping, if not that than something like it, mostly dry hopped, there really is no bitterness here, but unlike so many of them, there is also no green vegetal bite from trying to cram so many hops into it, its just clean and easy breezy, mellow but fresh and flavorful. notes of meyer lemon, tangerine, and green grape, lightly herbal, and i can taste the pale earthy cereal malt without really having to chew on it, which is a nice change of pace for one of these. good carbonation and a bright sort of juiciness to the hops, but no linger at all, nice and dry at the end. sockeye is pretty old school, the beers they have around the market are somewhat dated maybe, especially on the hoppy side, but their new ones are awesome, they have a ton of ambitious and diverse beers at their taproom, and they really are demonstrating a high level of competence. this was a joy to drink on a hot day!
