a kettle soured brew with peaches, salt, and coriander, and something i found a little bit sweet and thin personally, but my in laws loved it, and they seem to be more the target demographic for this sort of thing anyway, so itd say its a success. the beer is shiny brass colored, not much head, and has a perfumey aroma but is identifiable is peach, some light spice from the coriander, even some ginger in the mix for a second to me, fairly clean on the souring, and not too acidic at all. very floral and a little candied on the peach in the taste, hits right up front, good but sugary, still somewhat authentic, but no way this is done with real peaches, someone tell me if im wrong. there is a little cheesiness to the sour profile, all after the swallow, not bad, and quite faint, the fragrant peach character just about covers all that up. only moderately sour, some lemon and orange tang to it. it needs more bubbles, and might be good in a wine barrel with some brett so its a bit more multidimensional on the fermentation side, but not bad, and definitely outside of their comfort zone here, which is always good to see. summery and decent, a little to peachy for me, a little forced, but not bad. the salt and the coriander are quite subtle here too.

edit: its cool they canned this one, and that they are canning more of their specialty stuff in general, but this is a little flat and still kind of with a perfume thing in this format too. summery and tasty, a little cleaner from the can, but less refined than i have come to expect from sockeye overall...
